To celebrate the workweek having drawn to a close I stayed up late recording 67 thirty second snippets using the Benjolin I built at the workshop at Notam. I came up with this way of doing it after realizing that making two hours worth of realtime recording doesn't work for me on this instrument. The curation of what to keep can't be pushed to the future. I need to find sounds I like and then commit to not touching the instrument while it's recording. Otherwise I'm lost in a constant stream of finding the next steady state.

Once I had those snippets recorded I composed the piece using scnvim.

Mastered to tape using a Sony TC-377 reel-to-reel tape recorder.
